What is i-STEM?

i-STEM is an engaging four-day summer professional learning experience for PK–12 educators in both classroom and informal learning settings, offering hands-on, project-based learning in science, technology, engineering, and math across all grade levels. Hosted in six locations across Idaho, i-STEM is designed to connect teaching and learning to Idaho’s In-Demand Careers and Industries, while supporting future-ready students.

Participants select a content strand of interest and engage in inspiring general sessions that highlight workforce relevance and industry connections. Each strand includes practical instructional strategies, ready-to-use lesson plans, and a take-home classroom kit, allowing educators to immediately apply their learning. Registration is open from February 9- March 13, and costs $50; spots are limited.

Participants select a strand based on their interests, receive a kit of instructional materials, and learn how to connect STEM concepts to real-world workforce applications.

Your district may have funds to pay your registration fee to attend STEM AC PD opportunities. Learn more about Title 4 funding here and talk to your local administrator for guidance.
