The Externship Program offers a unique balance of job shadowing and hands-on, meaningful work designed by Host Sites. Projects are tailored to both leverage educators’ existing skills and provide opportunities to develop new ones. Each Host Site’s projects will differ based on their industry and organizational needs.

After reviewing your application and resume, one or more Host Sites may receive your materials. It is up to each Host Site to decide whom they wish to interview and potentially offer a placement to. During the interview process, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the projects they envision and to demonstrate how your skills and experiences can contribute to their work.
