Rachel Harry Externship at Micron Technology
For the last week and a half, I have been working in a place that reminds me a lot of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – except without the chocolate. My father was an employee at Micron for a long time, so I was really excited to start working here and see what that experience was like for myself. There are thousands of employees, each of them with a very important purpose.
I started my time in their fabrication process. It requires that everyone stays very clean – hence the suits in my photo. It has been a very different world from my experience working in education, but it is interesting to see so many similarities too. The most important similarity – Employees at Micron and teachers everywhere are both constantly problem-solving/troubleshooting. Our daily problems are just a little different from each other 🙂
