I had the opportunity to write curriculum for an IHCA online course. I spent many hours researching, writing and gathering resources. I also had the opportunity to attend and help at their annual conference. The Externship Program was a great learning experience and pushed me out of my comfort zone while still using the skills I have gained as an educator. I networked with the medical community and really gained insight into what it takes to get a career in the medical fields and am now able to share that with my students.
