Joelle Anthon at Three Island Crossing
There were several goals for Three Island State Park:
1. Create and host camp activity days with a STEM emphasis for campers at the park on two Saturdays.
2. Create a curriculum for Idaho 4th Graders about Three Island State Park.
3. Create a contest for 4th grade students to do a biography about a pioneer who crossed at Three Island.
4. Help engage the community for STEM activities and other activities as well.
I was able to create, plan and host two STEM activity days during the summer and had children and families attend.
I am implementing a curriculum and contest locally at my school to test it out before sending it out statewide.
I was able to get the park in touch with a local club to help with possible community events.
This impacted my knowledge by creating activities that could stretch a large age span and be interesting and educational for all.
