STEM Diploma Seals
STEM Diploma Seals are available through the Idaho Workforce Development Council (WDC) for schools to recognize students who have met the STEM coursework requirements outlined in Idaho Code § 33-523.
Students must complete:
- 8 credits of mathematics
- 8 credits of science
- 5 additional credits of STEM coursework
School districts determine which courses meet these requirements. Please contact your appropriate school district administrator with questions about qualifying coursework.
The STEM Diploma Seal is free, optional, and not required by the State of Idaho. Schools may use the seal to recognize students who have demonstrated a strong commitment to STEM through their coursework.
STEM Diploma Seals (not required by the state) are free to public schools. To order, please contact denise.hill@wdc.idaho.gov.
Eligibility: Any student who will graduate in the 2026-2027 academic year and meet the course requirements for an Idaho STEM Diploma is eligible to receive the STEM Diploma. These diplomas are offered by school districts or LEAs, so no application with Idaho Workforce Development Council is required.
