I was working with their engineering team to help develop a series of lessons for Middle School and High School students. The goal is to prepare a packet ready for teachers that are NOT familiar with the subject, and they will feel comfortable teaching to their students. We are still struggling with the details and organization with this project. This was a continuation from last year. This summer we were able to work through lesson 4 out of 8 lessons. We are confident that each goal will be met. I love that this has direct effect on my teaching. I can use the resources when teaching this unit in class. I also benefit from experts in the field. Their feedback of what is a priority of skill and knowledge that students can focus on to prepare them for the future is very helpful. I also include more hands-on experiences, demos, and inquiry in my teaching due to the help of this program.
