I, and two other externs, was tasked with creating an online course using Canva for all CTE Administrators. We were given materials to learn from that taught us about the people that would take the course and books and electronic sources to help us learn the materials. We made a new course off of an old one – focusing on more interactive activities and involvement for learners. We focused on two learning methods when building the course – these we chose together – Bloom’s Taxonomy and Backward Design. I accomplished creating a few of the Modules in the course and working together with the other externs to make everything flow well.

I learned even more how to work with other teaching with varying ways of teaching and learning. It impacted my career knowledge by showing me the importance of being prepared and showing up for your colleagues.

I have chosen to step away from teaching, but this showed how difficult it really is and how much work goes into lesson planning and preparation for every lesson that teachers prepare.
