Arielle Jensen at International Rescue Committee

Working at the International Rescue Committee, I had a wonderful experience learning about the resettlement process, as well as immigration law and policies. Part of my role was to work with clients one-on-one (with a caseload of about 10) helping them apply for jobs, interview prep, create a resume, and the onboarding process. I also helped clients with career pathways, like connecting them with apprenticeships, enrolling them in college, creating a career plan wth them that has steps and deadlines. Another part of my role was to help with community outreach, in which I created flyers and info-graphs about community lead events, and I even volunteered at those events. I also lead resume workshops and did a cultural-orientation presentation for newcomers.
