Program Expansion Grant
Opportunity Goals and Objectives
The goal of the Program Expansion Grant is to provide high-quality STEM learning experiences or programs that encourage student participation in and engagement with tangible STEM/21st-Century skills and proficiencies. This grant will provide funding for additional materials to support educators who have already received professional development training.
Brief Description
Funding will expand classroom materials for educators who have received professional development or other trainings on these materials. Often, professional development and other trainings do not provide a full classroom set of associated materials. The Program Expansion Grant aims to support the expansion of successful computer science, coding, and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs in Idaho. This opportunity is available for current Idaho educational programs (schools, libraries, afterschool/nonprofit educational programs, etc.). Educators must have already taken training or professional development in the program they are seeking to expand, and the program must already be implemented into their curriculum and proven successful. Priority is given to educators who have attended STEM Action Center’s program/trainings.
Eligibility
Educators from publicly-funded educational organizations such as schools, libraries, after-school educational programs, and educational nonprofits/community centers who have previously received professional development or other training, and implemented related materials in their learning environment.
